The basic function of the Buyer / Tool Crib Attendant is to handle all request for tools and tooling for production jobs from the crib and to maintain inventory of the necessary perishable tools. You need to be detailed oriented, highly organized, creative, flexible and a great team player.

Education and/or Experience:

• A minimum of three years in the shop or manufacturing area.

Responsibilities:

• Issue purchase orders to suppliers of materials, tools, or supplies, and determine product availability with shipment details.
• Review purchase orders to determine product types and quantities which conforms to company procedure and AS9100.
• Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
• Respond to all requests made at the tool crib window.
• To understand all terminology of tools in this field (CNC)
• To review and pull all tools from setup sheets.
• To monitor and order perishable tooling as needed.
• To set tools for the CNC machining Centers.

• The physical ability to stand, reach, lift, and concentrate on the job at hand.
• Must have adequate vision
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment.

Other Requirements:

• Any job, task, or function within your ability requested to do by management.

Special Requirements:

• Must have good people skills. An in-depth knowledge of all the tools and fixtures related to aerospace machining industry.
