JOB SUMMARY:

Small Phoenix based sign company is seeking an experienced Field Technician Apprentice.  This is a full-time permanent position performing various tasks including sign and area lighting installation, maintenance and repair. We are looking for someone who has prior experience in this field or an individual with construction background who is willing to be open to expanding their knowledge.  A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect, trouble shoot and repair existing signage and lighting
• Removal and/or installation of signage and area lighting
• Complete and maintain work orders and site surveys
• Follow project instructions from supervisor
• Responsible for loading/unloading tools and materials required for days work assignment 
• Safely operate a variety of hand tools and general shop equipment
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Follow all safety regulations when operating equipment

JOB REQUIREMENS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior sign installation and repair, general construction or basic electrical experience is preferred
• Ability to operate company vehicles in a safe manner
• Working knowledge of hand tools and general shop equipment
• Must be comfortable working at elevated levels; requires climbing ladders and lifts
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift up to 40 pounds
• Positive attitude and work ethic 
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with management and customer
• Must have a clean Arizona driver`s license
