The basic function of the Calibration Technician is to assist production requests to setup accurate instruments and maintain GageTrak software inventory.  You need to be detailed oriented, highly organized, creative, flexible and a great team player.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of two-year experience in Manufacturing with a Quality System (AS9100 / ISO9001).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calibration tests by comparing measurements to known standards to determine performance and reliability of equipment.
  • Read blueprints and production plans to assist with determination of instruments, or other devices.
  • Verify part dimensions and tolerances to issue precision measuring equipment will ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Assist production and inspection personnel to maintain inventory controls of issued and returned equipment.
  • Plan calibration frequency and sequence of calibration tests according to equipment specifications.
  • Visually inspect equipment to detect surface defects to maintain and repair measurement equipment including disassembly and reassembly.
  • Utilize GageTrak software to maintain calibration records, inventory of measurement equipment, and shelf-life products.
  • Control unique identification of monitoring and measurement equipment to maintain calibrated status, and contain suspect or damaged equipment to prevent from unintended use.
  • Communicate with Vendors to order gages, equipment and replacement parts for malfunctioning equipment.
  • Analyze certification test data to verify conformance to calibration requirements.
