This role is responsible for coordinating shipping, receiving, inventory movement, material staging, and warehouse workflow while providing day‑to‑day leadership and support to warehouse personnel.Key Responsibilities The ideal candidate has strong warehouse and logistics experience, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and operational excellence in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.Leadership & Team Support Provide day‑to‑day guidance, training, and support to material handling team membersServe as a subject matter expert for shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse processesAssist in assigning tasks and monitoring workflow toensure timely completionPromote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvementSupport onboarding and training of new warehouse employeesOperations & Execution Perform and oversee receiving, locating, transferring, and staging of materials accurately and efficientlyEnsure proper loading and unloading of materials across trucks, racks, pallets, conveyors, and storage areasVerify counts, weights, labeling, and documentation for incoming and outgoing shipmentsIdentify and document damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies andescalate issues appropriatelyCoordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to meet operational deadlines and production schedulesMaterial Handling & Equipment Use Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipmentTransport materials throughout the facility using appropriate tools and equipmentAssist production teams and machine operators with movement and staging of materialsOrganize, stack, and maintain materials for efficient workflow and storage utilizationQuality, Safety & Compliance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environmentEnsure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse proceduresParticipate in quality improvement and process optimization initiativesSupport audits and ensure compliance with operational and inventory standardsAdministrative & Coordination Complete required reports, documentation, inventory transactions, and system updates accuratelyCommunicate effectively with production, quality, purchasing, logistics, and management teamsAssist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory tracking activitiesPerform additional warehouse and logistics duties as assignedRequired Qualifications 2-4+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or shipping and receivingMUST be willing to work overtimePrior lead, coordinator, or informal leadership experience preferredForklift certification requiredStrong knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping practices, and material handling proceduresAbility to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesCommitment to safety, quality, and operational excellenceAbility to understand and follow written and verbal instructionsPreferred Qualifications Experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial production environmentsFamiliarity with international shipping requirements and shipping documentationExperience using inventory systems or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiativesBenefits & Perks GTI Energy offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support employees and their families while providing long‑term career growth opportunities within a fast‑growing manufacturing organization.
