Dispatcher This employee acts as a bridge between the local branch management team and the central dispatch department. In addition, the employee will drive timely completion of the daily routing/dispatching duties, as well as timely completion of responsibilities within the Logistics Department.Responsible for performing all MobileCast dispatching activitiesRoutes all same day/next day deliveries according to Logistics policy and proceduresResponsible for communication to the branches regarding errors in addresses, time frames, and any other work order issues that negatively impact the routing of a deliveryUpdates TIMS with customer notes and updates work order ship dates as necessaryResponsible for communication to the branches regarding issues that impact the ability of the Dispatcher to effectively route a work order to a driver in the fieldResponsible for monitoring a driver's progress during the day, and communicating back to the branch level any issues related to impacting missed time windowsMonitors delivery staffing requirements based upon order volumes and makes appropriate adjustments to staff and/or process as appropriateReviews Reports at the Central Dispatch level to monitor driver compliance of route order completed via the MobileCast & Roadnet software systemCoordinates with Region management on all action plans that would ensure driver compliance with targeted financial objectivesComplies with and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies, procedures, and "best practices" according to Logistics, DOT, ACHC, and local state labor lawsEnsures patients do not suffer service failures and communicates with the servicing branch of undeliverable stopsDemonstrates professional etiquette and courtesy when interfacing with customers and branches regarding issues that impact the ability of the Dispatcher to effectively route a work order to a driver in the fieldResponds to telephone, fax, and e-mail questions/problems from branchesRegular and consistent attendance and punctuality is considered an essential job function of this positionEducation/Experience:Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceshould have knowledge of Word Processing softwarePhysical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
