Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to support appointment coordination and patient communication in a fast-paced healthcare environment. In this role, you will help ensure that patients receive timely access to care while maintaining accurate scheduling records and delivering a positive service experience.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across one or more clinical providers or departments.
  • Answer incoming and outgoing calls and respond to scheduling requests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Collect and verify patient information to ensure accurate records and appointment details.
  • Document calls in appropriate software with accurate coding
  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth patient flow and appointment availability.
  • Communicate appointment instructions, preparation details, and follow-up information as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Monitor schedules for openings, cancellations, and conflicts, and make appropriate updates.
  • Assist with reminders, referrals, and other administrative tasks related to patient access and scheduling.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in scheduling, customer service, medical office support, or a related administrative role preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using scheduling systems, electronic records, and standard office software.
  • Understanding of confidentiality practices and a commitment to maintaining patient privacy.
