OverviewThe Adult Probation Services Division of the Arizona Supreme Court is seeking an Operational Review Specialist V to join our team. This position performs operational reviews in all Arizona adult probation departments statewide. Primary duties include auditing and monitoring compliance, verifying caseload population reports, ensuring compliance with statutes, administrative orders, funding agreements and program plans, and assisting with verifying accounting/budgeting/financial management systems, policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with county personnel to resolve issues, clarify findings, and provide technical assistance to obtain data.Prepare detailed written reports highlighting operational review findings, areas of compliance, deficiencies and recommended corrective actions.Present findings and conduct follow-up with probation departments to ensure corrective action plans are completed within the proposed time frame.BenefitsAccrued vacation pay and sick leave10 paid holidays per yearHealth and dental insuranceRetirement planLife insurance and long-term disability insuranceOptional employee benefits include short-term disability insurance, deferred compensation plans, and supplemental life insuranceRemote work option may be available (full-time or part-time). Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement.Required skills and abilitiesThis position requires detail orientation with strong technical writing and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and strict adherence to procedures. A general understanding of Evidence Based Practices in the adult justice field is preferred. The ability to analyze statistical data and derive conclusions, manage multiple tasks and inquiries, and work independently with minimal supervision while following the op-review process is essential. The role requires the ability to understand and interpret legislation, rules, the Arizona Code of Judicial Administration, administrative orders, policies and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) or equivalent is required.Preferred qualificationsStrong knowledge of the Arizona Probation System, Code of Judicial Administration, and an understanding of Arizona's criminal justice system.TravelTravel level: up to 35%.
