This position is responsible for reviewing applications for various public assistance programs and determining the eligibility of applicants and recipients for public assistance programs through interactive interviewing and fact gathering; verifying that any application forms have been filled out correctly and checking the information on the forms for accuracy. This may require specialists to follow up with applicants a number of times. Training will last 7 weeks roughly, all in person. Resources may be transitioned to FTE after this training period. Notes: - Resource MUST be able to start on 7/27/2026 (expedited onboarding is required). They must be comfortable working onsite. - In the event the contractor is converted to a full-time employee, the total conversion fee payable is capped at a maximum of $2,000. • Tentative start date will be dependent upon interviews conducted, onboarding completed, and the state agency issuing a PO. • HireRight must be used for Background Checks and Drug Screenings Local Only Candidates - Resumes must specify the current location of the candidate, all those who do not state current location will not be considered. - AS A REMINDER - Candidates must be local at time of submission, and available for in person interviews within 1 week of the posting close date. Candidates must also be able to start within 2 weeks of an offer being made.
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
