Line Cook Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team at Wren Sudhalle in Ahwatukee. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to our recipes, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and contributing to a positive kitchen culture.

Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Execute menu items with precision and attention to detail, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Station Management: Effectively manage assigned stations on the line, coordinating timing and workflow during busy periods to meet customer expectations.
  • Recipe Adherence: Follow recipes and guidelines to maintain the quality and standards of the restaurant, while also contributing creative input when necessary.
  • Kitchen Organization: Keep workstations clean, organized, and well-stocked, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team, communicating effectively to ensure a seamless flow of service and timely delivery of dishes.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the freshness and quality of ingredients, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Adaptability: Handle special dietary requests and modifications, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
  • Efficiency: Manage time effectively to meet service demands and maintain a steady pace during peak hours.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Culinary Skills: Proficient in various cooking techniques, with a solid understanding of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
  • Physical Endurance: Capable of standing for long periods, lifting heavy kitchen equipment, and working in a high-temperature environment.
