Production Operator (1st & 2nd Shift)

Join a global leader in advanced materials! Avient Corporation in Mesa, Arizona is hiring a 1st & 2nd Shift Production Operator to support the manufacturing of Dyneema® — the world's strongest fiber. Schedule & Pay:

• Shift: 1st shift Monday-Thursday, 4am-2:30pm
• Shift: 2nd shift Monday–Thursday, 12:00pm-10:30pm
• Pay: Starting at $19.00/hour, paid weekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and adjust machinery per standard operating procedures to produce high-quality Dyneema® fiber.
• Monitor production, perform quality checks, and maintain accurate data and inventory records.
• Safely move and handle materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Report and respond to any safety, quality, or process concerns.
• Participate in safety (SHE) and improvement initiatives to keep operations efficient and compliant.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment (textiles, composites, or military technical experience preferred).
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift and move materials safely and handle hazardous substances according to procedures.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Access), good attention to detail, and reliable communication skills.
• Forklift and crane certification a plus.
