Material Handler Level 3

The Material Handler Level 3 is responsible for efficiently loading, unloading, and transporting materials within a warehouse or storage facility. This role requires the use of hand trucks and carts, adherence to established procedures, and the ability to work under immediate supervision. The position typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload materials within the warehouse or storage facility.
  • Transport materials using hand trucks and carts.
  • Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Handle materials safely to prevent damage.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in material handling or a related field.
  • Knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures within the field.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under immediate supervision.

Special Considerations:

  • Lifting generally at or below 30 lbs without significant repetition.
  • Moderate exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological agents, and physical risks.
  • Operation of a powered industrial truck may be required, with exposure considered at least industrial and potentially heavy.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse or storage facility setting.
  • Moderate exposure to risks associated with machinery and material handling.
  • Timekeeping worker will utilize TWB for weekly time reporting. The supplier must register the worker in Fieldglass on behalf of the worker; direct system access will not be required.
