You will support the Nairobi CAA Project – construction of a new CAA building in addition to the existing chancery, providing technical oversight, inspection, and quality assurance for civil and structural components.You will ensure that all site development, infrastructure, and structural works are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and U.S. standards.This position is contingent upon the award of the contract, and the contract duration is three years.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect civil and structural works including site development, foundations, and structural systemsReview drawings, specifications, calculations, and contractor submittalsMonitor construction progress and ensure alignment with schedule and milestonesEvaluate RFIs, change orders, and field conditions, providing technical inputVerify material quality and workmanship meet contract requirementsCoordinate with architectural and MEP disciplines to resolve conflictsMaintain inspection logs, reports, and project documentationIdentify deficiencies and track corrective actions to completionSupport progress reporting and quantity verification for payment applicationsQualifications to be successful in the role:Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum 7 years of construction experienceProfessional Engineer License preferredMust have overseas work experienceKnowledge of civil/structural systems and practicesExperience in QA/QC and field inspectionsKnowledge of Construction Safety regulations, i.e. EM 385-1-1, OSHA, etc.Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word requiredAbility to obtain Top Secret clearancePlanate Management Group is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
