Material Damage Telephone Adjuster (Scottsdale, AZ) This role is responsible for investigating and handling automobile claims from initial report through resolution. The adjuster will evaluate coverage, determine liability, assess damages, and negotiate claims within their level of authority. They'll work directly with customers to gather information, explain next steps, and provide a clear and supportive claims experience. The role also includes identifying potential subrogation or fraud and partnering with internal teams to achieve the best outcome.Key Responsibilities Investigate all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with discretion and independence within an increased level of authority.Apply intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.Identify customer needs and work to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.Recognize and identify body parts of a vehicle and understand other potential property damage.For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partner with assigned representatives from those areas to achieve best outcome.Licensing Requirements Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team.
