An established and growing heavy civil general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional to gain hands-on experience across highway, roadway, and underground utility projects while working alongside experienced project managers and field leaders.
What You'll Do
Support the project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout
Assist with project scheduling, coordination, and document control
Collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects on track
Maintain strong client relationships and support long-term partnerships
Help ensure compliance with safety standards (including OSHA)
Track project progress, costs, and key milestones
✅ What You Bring
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1+ year of experience as a Project Engineer (heavy civil or similar preferred)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Familiarity with:
CPM Scheduling
Construction management software (e.g., Hard Dollar, On-Screen Takeoff, Agtek)
Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Project)
