Position Title: Federal Benefits Specialist

Location: Phoenix

Duration: 06/15/2026 – 11/24/2026

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Day Shift

Work Type: Onsite (Potential Hybrid)

Position Summary

The Federal Benefits Specialist is responsible for monitoring and managing a caseload of dependent youth receiving federal benefits, including Social Security, Veterans benefits, and Railroad Retirement benefits. The role ensures compliance with Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S. 8-468) and federal program regulations while maintaining accurate documentation and case records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor a caseload of up to 300 youth receiving federal benefits.
  • Review eligibility and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, agencies, guardians, and external organizations regarding benefit cases.
  • Maintain accurate case files, records, and documentation.
  • Process updates, changes, and required reporting related to benefit programs.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on case activities and deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with stakeholders regarding benefit status and documentation requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and management to resolve issues and maintain compliance standards.
  • Support audits, reviews, and administrative processes related to benefit programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass background check and drug screening through HireRight
  • Local candidates only (must currently reside near Phoenix)
