Job Details

You'll engineer and draft our custom projects from start to finish: architectural plans, designer drawings, and field measurements into shop drawings and CNC-ready outputs. You'll work directly with ownership, the shop foreman, and the shop itself.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and draft custom cabinetry, closets, and millwork in Cabinet Vision
• Produce shop drawings, and CNC cutlists
• Maintain and grow our Cabinet Vision library (UCS knowledge, materia/door schedules, standards, and other best practices)
• Review designer drawings and produce client/production-ready drawings
• Coordinate with the foreman, assembly lead, and installers to catch constructability issues before they hit the floor

Required

• 2+ years drafting and engineering in Cabinet Vision
• 2+ years in wood manufacturing or custom cabinetry/millwork
• Can read architectural plans and specs
• Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple jobs against deadlines
• Solid communication, written and verbal

Preferably

• Hands-on cabinet assembly or installation experience. A drafter who knows how it gets built and installed draws better than one who doesn't, and it's not close.
• UCS scripting in Cabinet Vision (custom routines, automation)
• SQL or database experience. We keep our CV data in SQL Server and we'd love a drafter who can work with it directly.
