This entry-level position is perfect for those who thrive in diverse environments and are seeking a dynamic career path without the requirement of a college degree./ppAre You:/pulliPassionate about working outdoors and independently?/liliA reliable and hardworking individual with a strong sense of responsibility?/liliKeen on maintaining safety and have excellent observational skills?/liliLooking for a job that offers a new scene and challenges every day?/liliInterested in a career opportunity that values your growth and development without the need for college education?/li/ulpJoin AWP Safety and be part of a fast-paced, safety-first culture that prioritizes your growth and development./ph2Job Description/h2pRole Description: As a Traffic Control Flagger/Barricade Setter, you will play a crucial role in:/pulliEstablishing and maintaining safe work zones using the proper equipment./liliCollaborating with team members to ensure the safety of all./liliManaging traffic flow effectively with stop/slow paddles./liliDelivering exceptional service and protection to our clients./liliBenefiting from continuous training and support to advance from an entry-level position to long-term career opportunities./liliSet-up barricades/cones and related signage to provide a safe flagging work environment for our partners in the work zone./liliDriving to and from designated work zones with all equipment necessary to provide a safe work zone./liliDocument and communicate with dispatch, operations and customers with regards to equipment utilized and proper location of set-up./liliMaintain job sites and equipment to ensure the highest quality set-ups and also maintain The AWP Safety Way./liliBe able to read and understand specific plans and instructions in order to exceed customers expectation./liliBe able to make field adjustments and corrections to make the project safe for the customer, municipality, motoring public and pedestrians going through the work zone./liliPerform pre and post-trip vehicle/equipment inspections./liliPossess and wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) equipment. PPE Equipment includes: Steel/Composite Toed Boots, Type 3 Reflective Vest, Hard Hat, Eye Protection, Gloves and any other necessary equipment required. (Some PPE provided)./li/ulh2Qualifications/h2ulliValid drivers license required./liliAbility to stand for 8-12 hours a day/liliTwo Years of outdoor labor experience/liliWillingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings./liliExperience driving./liliMust pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug test./liliAbility to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly and the ability to move/travel long distances within work zones./liliPossesses strong problem solving and communication skills to understand specific needs in the work zone./liliAbility to read and understand instructions, plans and maps of work zone locations./liliFlexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends./liliExcellent attendance and dependable transportation required./liliHigh School diploma or equivalent work experience./liliValid drivers license required./liliATSSA Flagger Certification required./liliNo experience necessary.
