Systems Administrator

In this role you will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware/software and related infrastructure. You will also be conducting technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This role is based in Phoenix, AZ and follows a hybrid work schedule.

What You'll Do

• Occasional travel to data center, needs to be located in greater Phoenix area
• Daily system administration, support, maintenance and monitoring of the Microsoft server, enterprise storage, VM infrastructures, and Office 365
• Perform root-cause analysis on recurring problems
• Responsible for escalating, as necessary, to internal and/or external support resources while retaining ownership for driving to final resolution
• Research, analysis, selection and procurement of solutions, equipment, and software
• Manage projects related to implementation of new solutions and upgrades of existing solutions
• Adhere to change control procedures when implementing changes to the production environment
• Periodic reporting to support capacity planning, performance measuring/tuning, and compliance
• Maintain, test, and enforce corporate-wide hardware and software standards
• After hours support as needed to sustain systems and service levels
• Resolve escalations from the Service Desk related to systems issues
• Other responsibilities as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years, hands-on systems administration experience in an enterprise environment
• Proven ownership of tasks from start to finish while keeping all stakeholders updated on progress
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills by providing accurate information, and responding to requests on a timely basis
• Comfortable working through ambiguity and exercise good judgment regarding technical and interpersonal issues even when all facts are not known
• A proven professional with excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and time management skills
• Strong aptitude for documenting solutions, procedures, and processes
• Strong interpersonal communication skill to work effectively with others to coordinate activities and arrive at mutual decisions

• Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
• Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
