What This Role Will Do
  1. Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility
  2. Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
  3. Lead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance
  4. Maintain control by circulating through your work area throughout the shift
  5. Check identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venue
  6. Ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down search
  7. Enforce venue policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
  8. Safeguard against theft and property damage
  9. Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  10. Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights. Remain in constant contact throughout the shift
  11. Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises
  12. Set up area before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.)
  13. Keep interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash or other obstacles, before, during and after the shift
  14. Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, Etc
What You Will Need

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work late hours, flexible schedule
  • Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms
  • Pass a mandatory background check

Preferred:

  • 3 years work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
  • Experience in a live music environment
  • Experience in a security role
  • Experience using metal detection equipment
Physical Demands/Working Environment
  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet both indoors and outdoors
  • Must be able to lift or move 25 lbs.+ using proper lifting techniques
