As an Actimize Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Fraud Technologies Group organization you will be located at 2850 East Camelback Rod, Phoenix, AZ 85016, Pittsburgh, PA or Denver, CO Monday thru Friday 8 to 5 timeframe with some weekends due to project releases. Also on call production support required about every 6 weeks.
The Software Engineer Principal is a senior technical leader within the Fraud Transactions Engineering organization, responsible for designing, optimizing, and extending the systems that power high volume, database driven fraud transaction processing. This role focuses on SQL optimization, database centric application design, Java based platform extensions, and enterprise integrations that enable real time and batch fraud detection. The Principal Engineer partners closely with application teams, DBAs, platform engineers, and operations to ensure fraud systems are performant, resilient, and scalable.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of hands on software engineering experience in enterprise environments. Expert level SQL and PL/SQL skills, with experience supporting high volume, database driven systems. Strong Java programming experience, including building custom extensions or plugins for enterprise platforms. Experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server in transaction intensive environments. Hands on experience with enterprise integration technologies (ETL, APIs, web services, messaging). Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
Base Salary: $106,000.00 $165,600.00 Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
