Headfarmer is looking for an experienced Controller on a project/interim basis to support our client during a high-growth phase! This is an exciting engagement opportunity as you'll be involved with a variety tasks, such as streamlining initiatives, monthly close functions, complex reconciliations and accounting research. You must have your bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 7+ years of experience, including having been at the Controller level. Experience in the hospitality industry is a huge plus, but not required.

This position is fully in office 5 days/week, and the engagement will last anywhere between 3-6 months.

Pay is up to $75 per hour and candidates must be available to interview and start right away.

Your primary job functions will include:

• Owning monthly close processes at a hands-on, transactional level
• Preparing and posting journal entries and performing complex reconciliations
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and various Ad Hoc reports
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting functions alongside FP&A team
• Leading internal and external audit requests
• Spearheading process improvement and cleanup initiatives, including post ERP implementation support
• Providing training and mentorship to accounting staff

Education, qualifications and skills required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 7+ years of corporate accounting experience, including at the Controllership level
• Exceptional reconciliations and technical accounting research experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP accounting systems and proficient Excel skills
• Ability to roll up your sleeves and help at the operational level
