The ideal candidate will be based in one of the following Pacific time zone states: California, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, and possess experience in handling homeowner, commercial, or auto liability claims. Candidates must be able to work 8am–5pm Pacific time zone hours. Litigation experience may be necessary for this role.The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage and negotiate claims. Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.Key ResponsibilitiesHandles investigation regarding all aspects of bodily injury claims (coverage, damages, subrogation, litigation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority.Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage.For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome.Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have supervisory duties.Preferred Qualifications2+ years of experience handling attorney-represented bodily injury claims.Experience managing nonstandard auto insurance claims.Familiarity with California-specific claims handling practices and regulations.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsAbility to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required.Functional SkillsCustomer service orientation.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong time management skills from a global case management and pending perspective (vs. transactional).Effective problem solving and analytical skills; ability to detect differences and issue recognition from multiple sources.Proficient in Word and Outlook.CompensationPay Transparency:Base compensation offered for this role is:Auto Analyst III: $50,000 - $65,300Auto Consultant I: $50,000 - $74,120Auto Cons II: $56,000 - $82,500Auto Sr Cons I: $68,500 - $104,100And is based on experience and qualifications.
