Director Of Program Management

SelectOne is a strategic recruitment firm, partnering with organizations to secure top talent. A global aerospace and defense organization is seeking a Director of Program Management to support its Space Division.

The Director of Program Management will lead the division's program management function, ensuring consistent execution, financial discipline, and schedule performance across multiple programs. This leader will establish best practices, strengthen governance, and develop program management talent while partnering closely with Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Business Unit leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement division-wide program management strategy
• Lead program management across multiple business units and program portfolios
• Establish reporting structures, governance models, and execution frameworks
• Strengthen execution rigor, program baselines, and Estimate at Complete integrity
• Build dashboards and performance metrics to monitor program health
• Review underperforming programs and oversee recovery plans
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, and Operations
• Mentor and develop program management leadership talent
• Standardize best practices across complex contract environments
• Drive consistent execution to protect margin and strengthen customer confidence

Skills and requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Science
• 15+ years of program management experience
• Experience developing functional strategies and implementing large-scale processes
• Experience leading within a matrixed organization
• PMP certification preferred
• Strong familiarity with government and commercial contract environments
• Executive-level customer management experience
• Aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industry experience strongly preferred

Salary: $275,000 $325,000 base salary plus bonus and long-term incentive eligibility. Comprehensive benefits package included.
