Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesPatient treatment planning, calculations of dose for radiation therapy. Calculates distribution of doses for Radiation Therapy treatments including 3D, IMRT/VMAT, SRS, SBRT and HDR. Assists in set up, simulation and planning treatment. Provides support and problem solving with complex treatment set-ups to the simulation therapist. Offers suggestions and assists the Radiation Oncologist for optimal treatment planning procedures and protocols.Plans patient treatments for external beam radiation.Performs plan verification via independent second checks of monitor units and beam parameters.Accurately calculates electron beam monitor unit settings.Performs hand calculations.Utilizes computer program if applicable.Assists the simulation therapist and advises the therapist on setup issues and requirements.Participates in weekly chart checks under the supervision of the head of physics.Accurately prepares the treatment chart prior to start of treatment in a timely and accurate manner.Participates in the planning and recording of documentation for protocol patients.Prepares OLDs, records readings, and accurately documents and reports the results to the physician and physicist.Participates in IMRT/VMAT planning.Participates in HDR planning.*Hybrid role; must reside in Arizona*Job RequirementsMINIMUMBachelor's DegreeCertified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD)Must reside in ArizonaPREFERRED2 years experience as a Certified Dosimetrist.Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy (RTT)Pay Range$47.41 - $70.52 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
