Join Komatsu and Be Part of Something Big!Job OverviewManage the efforts of supervisors and hourly personnel covering various departments over three shifts. Is responsible for administering and controlling productive labor, variable overhead and OVC budgets. Is responsible for efficient use, operation and preservation of production facilities in the Peoria plant.Key Job Responsibilities* Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and an environmentally friendly work place for employees and visitors. (ISO14001).* Responsible for quality of output as delivered to other production areas, service parts and/or customers.* Manage efforts to achieve established production goals. Monitor progress and adjust efforts accordingly. Develop and implement programs to improve efficiency and reduce costs.* Initiate increases or decreases in manpower. Interview and select qualified hourly employees and oversee their training.* Work with plant manager on problems or potential problems beyond his control which affect his ability to produce quality product in a timely manner.* Effectively work with cross functional team or departments to solve operation pain points in a timely manner.* Administer union/management agreement on shop floor to maintain a sound working relationship with bargaining unit employees.* Keep abreast of technological developments through professional organizations, trade shows, seminars and other activities as needed.* Support ISO9002 quality and ISO14001 environmental efforts in areas of responsibility.* Support the company's EEO efforts and take appropriate actions to prevent harassment of employees.* Sponsorship of new and updated processes and projects.* Cross functional collaboration imperative.* Coaching and development of Supervisors to align expectations and performance.Qualifications/Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, and/or equivalent 10+ years of progressive experience in distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years leading supervisors or managers in a complex operation.* Demonstrated experience leading multi‑shift, high‑volume parts or end‑to‑end warehouse operations. Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS/EWM).* Proven experience working in a unionized environment, including application of labor agreements and grievance resolution.* Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop supervisors to independently run stable daily operations without escalation.* Demonstrated ownership of SLQDC performance (Safety, Legal/Compliance, Quality, Delivery, Cost) with solid understanding of compliance requirements.* Demonstrated ability to drive root cause problem solving, corrective actions, and standardization with Supervisor ownership* High visible floor presence with strong execution, follow‑through, and accountability.* Quality of effort to achieve efficiency, utilization, and productivity goals for departments of responsibility.* Maintaining a safe work environment in all department of responsibility.* Effective communicator - written and verbal.* Maintain effective communication with the bargaining unit.* Minimize the degree of scrap and re-operation in departments managed.* Maintain effective communication with other members of management.* Strong analytical skills.* Effective negotiator, leader and motivator.Additional InformationHiring RangeAt Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $103,000.
