Are you the person who notices what needs to be done before anyone asks? The one who
quietly keeps everything running while everyone else focuses on their work? If that sounds like
you, keep reading.
An established law firm is looking for an experienced Office Manager to step into a high-impact
role at the center of the practice. You will work directly with the partners and touch every part of
the firm's operations, from financial processes and HR administration to staff communication
and vendor coordination.
This is not a role for someone looking to follow a checklist. It is for
someone who takes ownership, solves problems independently, and genuinely cares about the
people around them.
What You Will Do
No two days will look exactly the same. Your core responsibilities will span:
Finance and Billing
• Process payroll, accounts receivable and payable, and bank reconciliations
• Manage client payment applications and QuickBooks coding
• Track benefits, membership dues, and subscription renewals
HR and Staff Administration
• Manage PTO, timesheets, and day-to-day staff needs
• Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employee concerns
• Support onboarding, training coordination, and policy enforcement
Office and Vendor Coordination
• Liaise with vendors, IT support, and service providers
• Keep document management and electronic filing organized and current
• Coordinate firm events, meetings, and seminars
Partner Support
• Handle communications and billing follow-ups on behalf of partners
• Serve as the operational buffer so partners can focus on clients
• Run recurring staff and management meetings
What We Are Looking For
• Solid QuickBooks experience (payroll, A/R, A/P, reconciliations)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• A self-starting mindset: you identify what needs to happen and make it happen
• Warm, professional communication style with staff, leadership, and outside partners
• Ability to manage competing priorities without losing your cool
• Background in professional services is a plus; law firm experience is not required
Why This Role
This is a position where your work genuinely matters. The partners have built something they
are proud of, and they are looking for someone who will treat the firm with the same care they
do. You will have real autonomy, a supportive team, and a front-row seat to the operations of a
respected legal practice.
The firm values loyalty, initiative, and people who take pride in doing their job well. If that is the
kind of environment where you do your best work, we would love to hear from you.
Compensation and Details
• Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience + benefits
• Full-time, in-office / possible hybrid position
