About the Opportunity

CornerStone Technology Talent Services is partnering with a forward-thinking organization to identify a .NET Software Engineer with strong Azure experience to support a major cloud modernization initiative in Tempe, AZ. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who thrives in hands-on environments and wants to help transform legacy systems into scalable, modern cloud-native solutions.

This is not a narrow development role — this is a full-stack ownership opportunity where you will play a key role in re-architecting applications, improving performance, and driving modernization across the platform.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build, and enhance .NET-based applications using modern backend patterns (including minimal APIs)
• Develop and support React-based front-end components in a full-stack environment
• Lead and contribute to the migration from Azure IaaS to PaaS, improving scalability and efficiency
• Optimize and maintain SQL databases, including schema design and query performance tuning
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent and repeatable deployments
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
• Collaborate closely with a small, agile team to drive architectural improvements and reduce technical debt

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with .NET backend development and modern API design
• Hands-on experience with React in production environments
• Proven experience working within Microsoft Azure, particularly with PaaS services
• Solid understanding of SQL, including database design and performance optimization
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, etc.)
• Comfortable working in a high-autonomy, hands-on environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
