Job Title: Sr Advanced Software Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85027 (Hybrid – minimum 3 days onsite)

Employment Type: W2 Contract, 6 month contract with possibility for extensions

Pay Rate: $59.00 – $63.30/hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours (hybrid)

Role Overview:

BEPC is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Software Engineer to support our client's next-generation avionics programs. This role focuses on the design, development, and integration of Flight Management System (FMS) software for advanced aerospace applications.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in FMS development, strong C++ skills, and experience working in regulated, high-performance embedded environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop core software architecture and applications for Flight Management Systems
• Integrate FMS software into new avionics product development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications
• Develop high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members
• Support testing and integration activities in lab/test bench environments
• Ensure compliance with certification and regulatory standards
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in aerospace software development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in Flight Management Systems (FMS) software development
• Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming
• Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies
• Strong background in software architecture and design
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
