Sales Consultant Trainee – High-Growth Opportunity in Custom Shade Design

Job Overview:

  • Company: SHADE Industries.
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $23 to $24 per hour (possibility of transitioning to high-earning commission at a later date).
  • Location: Phoenix, AZ
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday (Occasional evenings or weekends for clients).
  • Project Scope: Residential and Commercial Tensioned Fabric Structures.
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License and 3D Software Experience.

The Opportunity: You will embark on a comprehensive apprenticeship designed to transform your natural sales ability into a lucrative career in specialty construction. This role offers the chance to shadow industry experts and master the art of consultative design for high-end shade solutions. You will be the face of the company, guiding clients from their initial vision to the final technical rendering of their custom project.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Master the full sales lifecycle through intensive hands-on training and mentorship.
  • Develop and maintain a robust customer database to ensure consistent project flow.
  • Translate client needs into functional 3D designs using specialized software.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with architects, contractors, and homeowners.
  • Conduct professional in-person consultations and site assessments across the region.
  • Provide diligent follow-up and communication to move complex projects through the pipeline.
  • Maintain a high level of motivation and self-starting activity to identify new leads.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, construction, or a design-related field.
  • Proven mechanical inclination and the ability to visualize spatial layouts.
  • Ownership of a reliable vehicle for frequent travel and client meetings.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including professional writing and in-person meetings.
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week with a focus on long-term project closing.
  • Valid Driving License/Good Driving Record

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience with 3D design software or architectural rendering tools.
  • Background in a consultative or "long-cycle" sales environment.
  • Demonstrated history of independent work and self-motivated schedule management.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly base pay during the 12-24 month training and transition period.
  • High-earning commission structure with $100-200k+ potential after training.
