Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year

Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Assistant to join our dynamic logistics team. In this pivotal role, you will support the efficient coordination and management of dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services. The Dispatch Assistant will work closely with dispatchers, drivers, and customers to facilitate smooth communication and resolve any issues that may arise during the dispatch process.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in scheduling and dispatching drivers to various locations based on delivery requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, routes, and delivery times.
• Communicate with drivers to provide updates on workload, traffic conditions, and route changes.
• Coordinate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any special instructions or concerns.
• Monitor and track shipments and deliveries to ensure timely completion and resolve any delays.
• Prepare and process dispatch-related paperwork, including delivery logs and driver reports.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or related fields is a plus.
• Proven experience in a dispatch or administrative support role, preferably in logistics or transportation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with drivers and customers.
• Proficiency in using dispatch software and basic computer applications such as MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
