Overview

We are seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations to lead and scale distribution and logistics operations in the Phoenix area. This role will oversee all warehouse functions including inventory management, shipping and receiving, staffing, safety, and process optimization. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in high-volume warehouse environments and a track record of improving efficiency, accuracy, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, and inventory control
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve throughput, accuracy, and cost efficiency
  • Manage and develop warehouse leadership (supervisors, managers, leads)
  • Establish KPIs and track performance across productivity, order accuracy, and on-time delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across layout, workflows, and systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies
  • Partner with supply chain, procurement, and operations teams to align on demand planning and inventory levels
  • Oversee labor planning, scheduling, and workforce optimization
  • Implement and optimize WMS and other warehouse technologies
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost controls

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume fulfillment environments
  • Strong understanding of WMS systems and inventory management processes
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve performance
  • Experience with lean principles, process improvement, or Six Sigma is a plus
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Background

  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial distribution environments
  • Multi-site or large facility leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 base (depending on experience)
  • Bonus eligibility tied to operational performance
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
