Controls Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Controls Technician responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of controls systems for HVAC. This role involves installing and troubleshooting electrical control systems for air handlers, sensors, and room temperature calibration.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of controls systems for HVAC.
• Install and troubleshoot electrical control systems for air handlers, sensors, and room temperature calibration.
• Use basic hand and power tools to troubleshoot electrical control systems.
• Set up controls systems on wireless networks.

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years of experience with installing and troubleshooting controls applications.
• Proficiency in using a multimeter.
• Experience working with controls for air handlers, sensors, and calibration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience bending conduit preferred.
• Previous experience with controls preferred.
• Customer-facing experience and customer service skills.
• Must be open to travel.

Work Environment:

Must be open to travel from CA to TX, primarily working in convenience stores, restaurants, and retail stores nationwide. The typical schedule includes 3 weeks of travel and 2 weeks local work, with 3-4 stores per week and installations taking 1-2 days. Travel and accommodations are managed, and expenses are covered. Comfort with working on rooftops to install and troubleshoot HVAC units is required.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
