Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (School-Based) - $37/hr - Phoenix, AZ - 36-Week AssignmentPosition Overview:

The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) assists the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services to students in a school setting. The SLPA supports clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities and plan of care assigned by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and/or physician. This role supports student communication needs and collaborates with school staff to ensure appropriate intervention and services are delivered.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Phoenix, AZ

• Start Date: March 30, 2026

• Duration: 36 weeks

• Schedule: Monday-Friday

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week

• Pay Rate: $37/hour

• Modality: School-Based

Details of Assignment:

• School-based SLPA services

• Supporting students across two school sites

• Assisting with therapy implementation, documentation, and student support

• Client interview required

Responsibilities:

• Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist with speech and language therapy services

• Support evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress documentation

• Follow individualized plans of care and professional standards of practice

• Collaborate with school staff and related service providers

• Support student communication needs in academic settings

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program with an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders

• Completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience as required by state and/or contract

• Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in Arizona

• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (front & back)

• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable

• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Compliance with all professional standards of practice

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• One year of prior SLPA experience preferred, but not required
