The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) assists the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services to students in a school setting. The SLPA supports clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities and plan of care assigned by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and/or physician. This role supports student communication needs and collaborates with school staff to ensure appropriate intervention and services are delivered.

Details of Assignment:
School-based SLPA services
Supporting students across two school sites
Assisting with therapy implementation, documentation, and student support
Client interview required
Responsibilities:
Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist with speech and language therapy services
Support evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress documentation
Follow individualized plans of care and professional standards of practice
Collaborate with school staff and related service providers
Support student communication needs in academic settings
Requirements:
Graduate of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program with an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders
Completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience as required by state and/or contract
Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in Arizona
AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (front & back)
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Compliance with all professional standards of practice
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
One year of prior SLPA experience preferred, but not required
