Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery to keep the equipment and the facilities in compliance with regulations, certification specifications, and with minimal down time to meet production goals.
Work Schedules: 2nd shift role with rotating weekend shifts, final hours TBD (Overtime may be required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have a mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; knowledge of engineering and technology, production and processing including quality control, costs, and raw materials. Must have working knowledge of mathematics and their applications. Must be skilled in equipment maintenance, repairs, operation monitoring, troubleshooting, controlling operations of equipment or systems, quality control analysis, critical thinking, and equipment selection. Must have problem sensitivity and information ordering skills.
Minimum Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the food & beverage or pharmaceutical industries.
English Language Must be able to read and comprehend detailed instructions, effectively communicate highly technical concepts and terms in writing and in conversation
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office programs and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)
Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs. or more. Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, crouch, crawl, or stoop. Must have arm-hand steadiness, manual and finger dexterity, control precision, multi-limb coordination, reaction time. Specific sensing abilities required by this job include near vision and hearing sensitivity. Work Environment: characteristic of an FDA regulated manufacturing facility. Personal Protective equipment may be required in certain situations. The employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, noise, and is frequently exposed to airborne particles. Completion of duties must be done within an allotted time which may create a sense of time pressure to meet deadlines.
