Service/Shop Manager
Job Description:
In the role of Service Manager for Global Machinery, based out of our Phoenix, Arizona office, the Service Manager's main responsibility is managing ateam of technicians responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, overhauling, and performing service maintenance on construction and utility equipment such as, but not limited to, excavators, compact track loaders, rubber-tired trenchers, track trenchers, horizontal directional drills, cable plows, aerial trucks, vacuum excavators, cable pulling and blowing equipment, utility trailers, underground and overhead cable pulling equipment.
Duties also include directing, coordinating, and training Service Technicians in the performance of their daily work to provide quality repair of equipment in a timely and safe manner.
They are also responsible for customer service including meeting with customers, taking customer calls regarding service problems on equipment, scheduling equipment for repairs, monitoring warranty work, providing written service reports for warranty and customer work for proper billing, and ordering parts from the parts department to accomplish repairs in a timely fashion.
