I. Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current licensure from the Arizona Department of Health Services (A.D.H.S.)
  • Must possess a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance card
  • Must be able to pass a background check upon employment

II. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Screen and evaluate appropriately referred students within the State and Federal requirements.
2. Attend and actively participate in all appropriate Child Study Team (C.S.T.), Section 504, Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (M.E.T.), and Individualized Education Program (I.E.P.) team meetings.
3. Develop speech-language related IEP/504 goals and objectives (if needed).
4. Provide any appropriate accommodations on the MET and IEP.
5. Complete all State and Federally required paperwork within required timelines.
6. Provide individual and group speech-language services to students as described in the IEP and 504 Plans.
7. Prepare quarterly progress reports on each assigned student to include in the quarterly grade reporting process.
8. Complete all MEDICAID billing in a timely manner.
9. Participate in District training as appropriate.
10. Consult with teacher and related professional in regards to students that have communication needs
11. May include supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
12. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Special Services

Terms of Employment: Ten Months

Shift Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: Certified Support Salary Schedule / Per Year
