Assistant Buyer

LHH Recruitment is working with a company in Scottsdale who is in search of a purchasing assistant to join their team. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday. The salary range is between $55,000-$65,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Buyer(s) with day-to-day purchasing and inventory activities
  • Assist in creating, reviewing, and processing purchase orders
  • Track open orders, backorders, and delivery schedules to ensure on-time fulfillment
  • Audit pricing discrepancies to ensure POS scan accuracy at the store level
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status
  • Maintain accurate product, pricing, and vendor data in ERP or purchasing systems
  • Analyze sales and inventory reports to help identify replenishment needs
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as sales, warehouse, and accounting
  • Assist with vendor negotiations, returns, and issue resolution
  • Prepare reports and documentation to support buying decisions

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of purchasing experience in a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is a plus
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
