Position Summary: The Snack Bar Customer Service Associate provides essential support within a fast-paced food and beverage environment. Responsibilities include managing customer transactions, maintaining cleanliness in food and stock areas, assisting with kitchen tasks, and ensuring proper inventory management. This role is a non-exempt position that typically reports to the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly, take food orders, and provide menu information while looking for opportunities to up-sell products.
  • Efficiently operate the cash register, process payments in cash or credit, accurately handle change, and adhere to all customer service and cash handling policies.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area.
  • Assist with inventory management by reconciling transactions, transferring supplies between storage and working areas.
  • Support kitchen operations as needed, promoting a collaborative team environment.
  • Receive and manage inventory, moving food and beverage products safely.
  • Ensure adherence to proper food handling procedures, including wrapping, labeling, and checking product temperatures.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to engage positively with the public and coworkers.
  • Physical capability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods; must be able to lift/push objects over 40 lbs.
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand instructions and communicate comfortably with customers.
  • Cash handling and customer service experience is preferred.
