POSITION SUMMARY: As a Culinary Specialist, you'll prepare delicious meals while following our establishment's recipes. Your responsibilities will include preparing ingredients, adhering to our restaurant's menu, and observing food health and safety protocols. You will be immersed in a fast-paced environment where you will cook, clean, assist fellow cooks, and ensure timely delivery of food.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up, clean, and organize your workstation
  • Prepare ingredients for service; wash veggies, chop, and season meats
  • Prepare the oven, utensils, and grill for your shift
  • Take orders from wait staff or a computerized system
  • Cook orders while adhering to health and safety standards
  • Suggest creative ideas for specials or seasonal dishes
  • Manage multiple food orders simultaneously
  • Monitor orders as new ones are received
  • Present orders attractively
  • Ensure accuracy in guest orders with the right food and sides
  • Deliver food orders to wait staff promptly
  • Store all food properly to maintain freshness
  • Sanitize and clean workstations and utensils after use
  • Reorder stock and food supplies as needed
  • Oversee other cooks and assist team members as necessary
  • Support fellow cooks in food preparation and other tasks

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Ability to work during peak times, including weekends and special events
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic that align with our culture
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and organizing effectively

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 30 hours weekly
  • Able to stand or walk for 2-8 hours each day
  • Must lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and carrying are required
  • Can work in warm environments
  • Environment includes exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, cleaning products, sharp objects, and slippery surfaces
