Position Overview:
This role is part of American Road Services Company, the insurance claims division of Ford Motor Credit Company, and is vital for supporting our dealer network and operational effectiveness.
We seek a dedicated Field Service Manager and Catastrophe Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team. This field-intensive role involves representing Ford Motor Company across various sectors, including dealerships, assembly plants, and distribution centers.
As a Field Service Manager and Catastrophe Claims Specialist, you will manage complex physical damage claims while responding to unforeseen catastrophic events, with a significant travel commitment.
Your Responsibilities:
Manage intricate insurance claims within a designated territory, scheduling vehicle inspections while traveling frequently throughout your area.
Perform detailed coverage investigations, analyzing incidents of fire, theft, and fraud concerning floor-planned units.
Use computerized estimating systems (e.g., Mitchell Connect) to accurately prepare damage estimates and assess repair costs.
Lead investigations involving subrogation, salvage disposal, and fraudulent claims.
Conduct loss prevention assessments and participate in dealer training activities.
Be ready to be on-call for catastrophic losses, with travel requirements that may reach 50-70%, especially during storm season from March to August.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
At least two years of experience in claims adjusting and estimating.
A minimum of one year of proficiency with computerized estimating systems (e.g., Mitchell Connect or CCC One) along with a strong understanding of vehicle repair processes.
One year of experience with Microsoft Office and advanced computer skills.
An active Adjuster license in your home state or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days.
Willingness to travel overnight 50-70% of the time, including extended trips during catastrophic events.
