Surface preparation: Clean, sand, and mask parts to ensure proper adhesion and protect areas that shouldn't be coated.
Equipment operation: Set up and operate powder coating spray guns, booths, and curing ovens.
Powder application: Select the correct powder, load the spray gun, and apply the powder coating evenly to meet specifications.
Process monitoring: Watch the coating process to ensure proper coverage and adhesion, making adjustments as needed.
Quality control: Inspect parts before, during, and after the coating process to ensure a high-quality finish and correct any defects.
Equipment maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning spray guns, booths, and ovens.
Safety and organization: Adhere to all safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized work area, and properly store and dispose of materials.
Material handling: Move parts on and off racks and out of ovens, which may require lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
Record keeping: Use computer systems to record labor and track parts as needed.
