As a Shipwide Technical Specialist, your primary role will be to provide essential technical support for entertainment events throughout the ship and on our private island. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and dismantling audio, video, lighting, and other technical entertainment systems, while also assisting with preventive maintenance and routine repairs.

You will report directly to the Senior Technician Shipwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and dismantle technical equipment for assigned shipwide and island events.

• Handle heavy equipment and road cases safely and efficiently.

• Manage daily operations of wireless microphones, ensuring frequency tuning, power management, and signal integrity.

• Mix live audio using digital audio consoles.

• Conduct sound/mic checks for shipwide venues and performers.

• Operate lighting consoles for both intelligent and conventional lighting fixtures.

• Report any equipment or consumable issues promptly.

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on all shipwide equipment.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization in technical booths and storage areas.

• Assist in developing and implementing contingency plans.

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years' experience in an entertainment-related environment.

• Solid understanding of computer systems or computerized control systems.

• A trade school/college diploma is preferred.

• A valid Driver's License is required.

Additional Information:

This is a SHIPBOARD position. You must:

• Have a genuine interest in a career at sea and be prepared to live and work aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel.

• Be committed to following safety roles, emergency responsibilities, and other duties as outlined in the ship's Safety Management System.

• Be willing to share a cabin with colleagues and appreciate a multicultural living environment with established rules and regulations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Hold a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (documents will be provided to obtain this).

• Complete a pre-employment medical examination.

• Obtain a criminal background check.

• Bring approved work footwear.
