Installation Coordinator

Description:

Position Purpose:

As an Installation Coordinator, you are the vital link between customers and The Home Depot, ensuring an outstanding customer journey from start to finish. Your role involves supporting both customers and Install Field teams, directing the workflow of jobs to meet business needs. You will monitor job statuses for various product lines, schedule pre-installation inspections with customers, manage job movement tasks, and oversee the service process within the branch. Your primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service and help achieve timely job completions while managing a backlog of installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 35% Customer Experience: Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the installation process, ensuring prompt follow-ups and addressing any inquiries efficiently. Strive to enhance customer satisfaction from the point of sale to post-installation support.

  • 25% Job Process Support: Collaborate with internal and external partners, including the Branch Support Center (Exteriors), Sales, and Installation teams, to address job inquiries and assist with customer escalations. Support branch operations to facilitate smooth job transitions.

  • 40% Operations: Oversee the intake and management of all open jobs, ensuring accuracy in paperwork, coordinating payment collection with customers, scheduling Pre-Installation inspections, completing data entry, placing material orders for interior products, and processing labor invoices for third-party service providers. Manage service ticket intake and customer scheduling as necessary.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • This position reports to the District Installation Manager.
  • This position has no direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

  • Overnight travel is generally less than 10%.

Physical Requirements:

  • This role involves primarily sitting, with occasional opportunities for movement. Lifting light articles may be required on rare occasions.

Working Conditions:

  • This position is based in an indoor environment, where uncomfortable conditions are infrequent.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the home improvement or construction industry is a plus, along with prior clerical or administrative experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, demonstrating urgency and effective problem-solving abilities.

Minimum Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 1 year.
