In this pivotal role, you will be part of the Area Field Production Mission team, supporting key operational activities within production agriculture. Your contributions will focus on optimizing field production processes and ensuring effective execution of our missions, helping enhance overall team efficiency to meet company objectives and customer expectations.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mission Success:
  • Work collaboratively with Field Production Missions to plan and coordinate essential operational activities.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient execution of production strategies aligned with mission goals.
  • Assist with pre-season and end-of-season evaluations and training sessions.
  • Support a variety of field activities, including planting, pesticide applications, and harvesting.
  • Conduct GPS mapping, field inspections, and rouging activities.
  • Resource Management:
  • Optimize resource allocation in field production, covering personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess resource requirements and facilitate procurement.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Utilize knowledge of field production processes to improve efficiency while tackling operational challenges with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure plans for production align with export needs, including certification and phytosanitary inspections.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Implement quality control measures in field production to meet established standards and work with teams to resolve any quality issues.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze operational data to monitor performance and pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on key operational metrics to ensure data accuracy and integrity, utilizing SAP transactions, Seed Bin, and Field Data collection systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with Field Production Agronomists to align production initiatives with agronomic objectives.
  • Work together with Compliance Business Partners to uphold safety and regulatory standards in operations.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, growers, and field service providers.
  • Integrated Financial Operations:
  • Support financial processes related to field production, covering grower accounting, accounts payable, and invoice management.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial transactions while maintaining quality control.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks candidates who meet the following criteria:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Operations Management, or a High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A valid Driver's License; your driving record must meet company guidelines.
  • Availability for weekend or overtime work as needed.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% during peak seasons.

  • Experience in agricultural operations, production planning, or related areas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Employees can expect a competitive salary range of $67,280 - $100,920, with potential additional compensation such as bonuses or incentives. Benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement plans, PTO, and sick leave. This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on location, market data, skills, experience, and more.
