Job Title: Clean Room Associate
Job Description
This position involves the refurbishment of surgical instruments through a meticulous cleaning and sorting process. The role requires handling instruments ranging from 10 to 30 inches in length and involves moving cases through a metal detector before cleaning. Candidates will start their shift by donning clean room gear, and they will be tasked with moving bins up to 50 pounds into a dishwasher-style unit. The process includes manual sorting, cleaning, power washing, and chemical cleaning of surgical instruments, which may have been exposed to bodily fluids. Post-cleaning, instruments are labeled and sorted into appropriate bins.
Responsibilities
Refurbish surgical instruments through cleaning and sorting.
Move cases through a metal detector before cleaning.
Gown up in clean room gear at the start of the shift.
Move bins weighing up to 50 pounds into cleaning units.
Perform manual sorting, cleaning, power washing, and chemical cleaning.
Label and sort instruments into appropriate bins post-cleaning.
Sweep daily and mop twice per week as part of team duties.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, air-conditioned, and brand-new facility. Employees must be willing to gown up and gown down in full clean room gear, including smock, booties, gloves, beard net, hair net, plastic visor, and safety glasses. Closed-toed tennis shoes and work pants or jeans with a plain shirt are required. Shifts are from 5 AM to 1:30 PM for the first shift and 1 PM to 9:30 PM for the second shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday overtime.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50/hr.
