POSITION/TITLE: Machinist WORK LOCATION: Tolleson, AZ Plant POSITION REPORTS TO: Machine Shop Supervisor WORK TYPE: ON SITE JOB SUMMARY: As a
Precision Plant Machinist, you will serve as a vital technical expert within our facility, leveraging a diverse suite of equipment and processes-including
manual and CNC mills and lathes, and presses-to craft and repair high-quality industrial components. This hands-on role requires a commitment to operational excellence, where your expertise will be essential in
fabricating new parts and restoring field components to stringent OEM specifications. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of their work, prioritizing
safety and quality while blending traditional craftsmanship with modern CNC machining and validation skills in a dynamic tool room style environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes and mills to fabricate and modify metal parts.
- Perform turning, milling, drilling, tapping, boring, grinding and threading operations with precision.
- Conduct soldering, welding and brazing processes to join metal components as needed.
- Inspect and measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Performs functions related to manual machining precision fixtures, tools and products from drawing in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintains specifications while using various quality checks for detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers and other team members.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to OEM specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by WinCup leadership as needed.
- Work with a variety of computer-controlled machines, such as mills and lathes used to manufacture parts.
- Operate and monitor various machine tools.
- Create and troubleshoot CNC programs.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Mechanical related Associates degree or 3 years of experience with machining and fabricating is preferred
REQUIRED EXPEREINCE and additional SKILLS: - 3+ years of experience as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
- Proficiency in operating manual mills, lathes and grinders is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with soldering, welding and brazing techniques preferred.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).
- Familiarity or proficiency with CNC machining is a plus
- Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.
- Strong digital literacy with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and/or CAM software is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relations skills required
- Excellent mathematical acumen such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as, understanding and proficiency with geometry, trigonometry, and machining calculations
- Reading of complex drawings and notes.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.

- Team Member may be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
- Team Member may be required to stand for long periods up to 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts.
- Team Member may be required to talk, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, and controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch.
WORK ENVIRONMENT (Manufacturing Plant): The characteristics listed below are representative of the work environment typically encountered by an individual while performing the essential duties of a position in our manufacturing plants. - Work space is one that contains moving mechanical parts.
- Requires work in an indoor manufacturing environment that may be exposed to extreme heat that is not air conditioned.
- Work environment contains loud noises and odors that may last for long periods of time or on a continual basis as well as occasional airborne particles.
- Must wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times.
- Ability to work an 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts as designated.
- Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as designated.
