As a Retail Stock Associate and Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring our store operates efficiently and meets the needs of our guests and their pets. Your responsibilities will include stocking shelves, maintaining inventory, managing the cash register, and providing excellent customer service. A passion for animal welfare and teamwork will help you excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain inventory: Keep the store organized and ensure products are well-stocked and displayed.
• Cash register operations: Process transactions efficiently while creating a positive experience for customers.
• Customer engagement: Assist guests with their needs and demonstrate a strong interest in animal care.
• Training: Complete necessary training to develop expertise in your role.
• Teamwork: Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment among staff.
• Safety protocols: Adhere to operational guidelines to ensure safety for all guests, pets, and coworkers.
• Other duties: Complete special projects and assist with additional tasks as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Skills: Proficient in mathematics and possess strong communication abilities.
• Interest in animals: A genuine passion for animal care is crucial.
• Interpersonal skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective interaction with the public and team members.

Working Conditions:

The majority of your work will take place indoors, though you may need to step outside for tasks like merchandise carry-outs. This role requires physical stamina, including lifting merchandise (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods. Flexibility for evening and weekend shifts is also essential.
