This position is responsible for greeting and checking inpatients for scheduled office visits. Obtaining and verifying the necessary documentation, paper andelectronic for the visit from the patient. Checking out patients at the conclusion of the visit. Collecting patient payments, schedulingfollow-up visits, posting charges and all other duties as assigned. SCOTTSDALE LOCATION

PrincipalDuties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsiblefor greeting and checking patients in for appointments, assuring a positive,friendly and timely experience.
2. Greetpatients and non-patients and assist them with questions or concerns.
3. Notifymanagement and providers of non-patient visitors.
4. Assurepatient insurance and demographic information is accurate and current.
5. Requestpatients/patient's representative to complete any required paperwork perpractice policies and procedures.
6. Reviewpatient charts prior to scheduled visits, review for required information,prepare necessary paperwork.
7. Askfor copies of insurance card and photo ID at every visit and copy per practicepolicy and procedure.
8. Assistpatients with completion of required documentation as needed.
9. Ensurethe waiting room area is clean and well maintained.
10. Providecoverage for all front office functions.
11. Responsiblefor checking patients out in a timely, professional, and friendly manner.
12. Collectco-payments and deductibles.
13. Recordpayments and provide patients with a receipt.
14. Schedulefollow up visits.
15. Inputand balance daily charges per practice policy and procedures.

18. Maybe required to travel to other locations if coverage is needed.
19. Performmiscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Experience with practice management scheduling and chargeposting software. Must be able to use10-key calculator to calculate patient responsibility balances. Basic knowledge of Word and Excelspreadsheets. A general understanding ofgroup health coverage and patient responsibility calculations. Must be a self-starter with a positive,service-oriented attitude.
Education: High schoolDiploma or GED
Experience: At least two years of directly relatedexperience. Medical Front Office and Medical Insurance experience preferred.
Working Conditions:OSHA Category 3: Involves no regular exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissueor tasks that involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids or tissue are not acondition of employment.
