Primary responsibility of the Mechanical Assembler is to assemble and/or fabricate mechanical parts per blueprints or work instructions prior to shipping. Works to priorities set by the Department Lead and follows processes developed by Engineering.
Follow all established quality management system procedures and work instructions as applicable
Knowledge of Protect the Product (PTP) Operating Procedures
Use and understanding of Work Instructions (Electronic or written)
Installation of and basic understanding of clinch style hardware meeting a min of 80% of Time Standards and with less than 10% of rework of all assemblies
Use of basic clinch installation tools and techniques
Use of hand installation tools and techniques
Basic skills in the application of adhesives
The application of filler compounds
Sanding and material preparation
Follow manufacturing planning steps
Willing and able to work overtime as needed including Saturdays
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Perform simple work assignments, often receptive in nature
Basic Computer Skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
Basic use of hand and measuring devices ( ie: calipers, micrometers & height gauges)
Able to work overtime including Saturdays

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Must have close visual acuity. May be subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust.
