"Warehouse Associate" Role Overview: As a Warehouse Associate, your job duties will include, but are not limited to, maintaining inventory at the warehouse, receiving, issuing, and organizing materials efficiently, and preparing materials daily to support our installation crews. This role may also assist with field-related operational support, including onsite surveying activities, as needed.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
Job Responsibilities: - Store, pull, pack, and scan materials for residential solar installation projects
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Work closely with the Warehouse Lead to review upcoming installs, special material requirements, and priority projects
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards
- Follow company policies and procedures for effective shipping, receiving, and material handling
- Collaborate with the National Inventory Manager and HQ Supply Chain team to support inventory availability
- Operate and assist with preventative maintenance of warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed
- Ensure all picking, fulfillment, inventory counts, and receipts are accurately and timely documented
- Assist with onsite surveying activities as needed, including collecting basic measurements, photos, and structural details at residential installation sites (training provided)
- Support additional operational tasks as assigned based on business needs
Required Qualifications:Education Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills: - 2 years of previous warehouse experience (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to pull and pack materials for installation jobs, ensuring all required products are loaded accurately
- Knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and safe work practices
- Proficient understanding of warehouse procedures and policies
- Experience in warehouse logistics and inventory management
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to materials, inventory, and workflow
- Willingness to learn and assist with site survey processes when needed
- Prior experience in solar, roofing, construction, or site surveying is a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements: -
- Ability to move around the warehouse for prolonged periods, including standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, and climbing ladders (daily)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability and willingness to safely access residential rooftops when assisting with survey activities
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements and have valid driver's license while maintaining a clean driving record
Cross-Training & Growth Opportunities: While this role is primarily focused on warehouse operations, there may be opportunities to assist with or cross-train in other operational areas, such as supporting Site Survey activities for residential solar projects. Training will be provided as needed.
